my 17.5 hp B&S model 311777-0148-EI has oil on the spark plug and too much pressure. Is there an easy solutio?

was running fine until a couple of weeks ago. Noticed that gas was in my oil, thus overfilling the crankcase with oil/gas. Changed oil and removed spark plug. Engine spins freely without the spark plug, but once re-installed it Still has too much pressure
